volunteers in your company
In principle, volunteers only work for non-profit organizations such as associations, foundations and citizens' initiatives. This is to prevent labor displacement, wage tax evasion and unfair competition with other companies. And of course to protect the rights of the volunteer.
Read the definition of the tax authorities about voluntary work here. This definition is also used by the insurer. Unpaid employees of sole proprietorships and private limited companies are therefore not covered by the municipality's volunteer policy. The rules of the UWV are even stricter.
You may work within your company with volunteers such as
- your company meets the conditions of the tax authorities and the UWV.
- there is no unemployment.
- the position serves a clear social interest .
If in doubt, please contact one of our advisors .

Companies, entrepreneurs and educational institutions have a lot of useful knowledge in-house. Share that knowledge with volunteers: A fun way to show your social involvement!!
