Did you know that plastic caps can be valuable? At least for us at KNGF Guide Dogs. We receive compensation for every kilogram of caps collected. So instead of throwing away the caps from soft drinks and milk cartons, why not hand them in at one of our collection points? By doing so, you're not only supporting the training of our guide dogs, but also helping to protect the environment. Together, all the caps collected have generated tens of thousands of euros. Help refugee children through play & exercise

Do you really want to make a difference for refugee children and young people? As a volunteer at TeamUp, you will supervise sports and exercise activities that bring structure, fun and support to their lives. These activities help them deal with emotions such as fear, anger and sadness in a playful way. Before you start, you will follow a two-day training, so that you can get started well prepared. Together with an enthusiastic team, you will go to a reception location (azc) near you at a fixed time every week. TeamUp is a program of Save the Children and was developed together with UNICEF Netherlands and War Child. Your work You are part of an enthusiastic, international team of volunteers and professionals. Every week you will supervise sports and exercise activities for children and young people (6-18 years) at an AZC. The activities always have a theme and goal, such as friendship, cooperation or respect. By being there for them every week, you build a bond of trust. You provide structure, fun and connection. Children and young people feel heard, seen and supported by you. In the meantime, you will receive good guidance from us and plenty of opportunities to further develop yourself. In addition, you have a signaling role. You learn how to recognize worrying behavior and refer children to specialized care where necessary. This is you: • You are 21 years or older (because of working with children and young people, you work up to 18 years). • You have experience with organizing activities for children and young people or relevant work experience. • You have completed a course (or are still studying) in pedagogy, education, social work or sports, games and exercise. • You are available for approximately 4 hours per week from approximately 2:00 PM (day and time vary per location). • You are available for a longer period, stability is essential for this vulnerable group. Working with children or young people? TeamUp works with children (6 - 14 years) and young people (14-18 years). For both groups we are looking for volunteers with specific qualities: - Children: you are patient, caring and playful. You help them in their development and cooperation. - Young people: you are energetic, steadfast and empathetic. You use sports to motivate and involve them. Kinderhulp helps with something big, or something small. A day out for example, a bicycle, reading book, warm winter coat or a present from Santa. Resolving the Allowances Affair in your region

For anyone who wants to use their listening and writing skills to support parents and families affected by the benefits scandal in their recovery! For years, parents have been wrongly accused by the Tax Authorities as fraudsters, with unprecedented emotional, relational and financial consequences. Unfortunately, there are tens of thousands of families who suffer from the consequences of the benefits scandal and they are still waiting for recovery. As a volunteer of the (Equal) Worthy Recovery Foundation, you can provide direct support and make a difference for a family. This is what you do as a Listening Writer The recovery route focuses on the parent's own story, the Factual Account. To get this on paper, the parents (the Storytellers) are supported by a Listening Writer: a volunteer from society who listens without judgement and writes down the parent's Factual Account. The Factual Account consists of 3 parts for the parent: who were you before all the misery started, where are you now and where do you want to go? Once the Fact Report is on paper, the parent can choose to have it calculated. In this way, as a volunteer, you make an important contribution to the emotional and financial recovery of the parent. This is you as a Listening Writer Perhaps you have been following the news for years, the benefits affair affects you, you feel the urgency, and you want to do something concrete. By helping out, you are in fact saying to the people involved: I see and believe you. It is precisely this equality that motivates you to use your time and skills. As a person, you easily, equally and respectfully connect. You are open and curious about the person involved. You can listen deeply, unbiased and without (pre)judgments. You dare to ask questions and know how to create a safe environment. In addition, you are a fellow resident of the Netherlands. We advise you to register from the age of 21, because impactful events are discussed during the conversation. Some life experience is required to deal with this well. It is necessary to have a laptop and/or tablet in combination with a smartphone. Some IT skills are also useful: both the Storyteller and Listening Writer work in our online Portal. As a Listening Writer, you will participate in a digital Start Meeting (1 hour), so that you can learn more about the role of Listening Writer and get off to a good start. Experience shows that being a Listening Writer requires an average of between 10 and 15 hours. This can vary, because the parent is in charge of the process and determines the speed. Register now!
