Help this parent through a difficult period

Parenting a breeze? Not for most parents. And certainly not if you're on your own. Do you recognize this? Do you want to share your experiences with a (young) parent? Are you that listening ear that this parent needs so much? From the R-Newt Kids Home department of ContourdeTwern, we are constantly looking for volunteers who would like to mean something to families with children who are temporarily experiencing a difficult period for whatever reason. As a volunteer you offer a listening ear, fulfill an exemplary function or go out together. The question of the family is paramount. Do you have experience as a parent? Do you have a lot of patience and a listening ear? And do you have a few hours a week to spare for a period of six months to a year? Then we are looking for you! Following a basic course (e-learning with three physical meetings linked to it) and being able to submit a Declaration on Behavior (costs are for the organization) is a condition. What do we offer? First of all, we offer great volunteer work, which gives pleasure and satisfaction. In addition, volunteers receive training, guidance (individually and in groups via theme and return meetings) and support. We think it is important that a volunteer and a family fit together well. The expectations and possibilities of the volunteer and of the organization are therefore explicitly discussed in the introductory meeting. A travel allowance is offered. What makes the work worthwhile? You can be that pillar or sounding board for a parent that he / she needs at that moment in his / her life. And what can give him / her a push in the right direction. Working hours A few hours a week (day/time to be determined in mutual consultation). Intake procedure An introductory meeting will take place in advance with a professional from the R-Newt Kids Home team.
