For visitors to Renoir (day treatment for people with dementia up to 65 years of age), artistic (painting) activities are a popular activity. It gives a sense of meaning despite the limitation experienced. Practice shows that it produces both abstract and figurative paintings. Are you or do you know someone who wants to support this enthusiastic group on a voluntary basis, can teach skills and/or can encourage them to make a painting? And do you have time and inclination on Thursday morning? Then we would like to get in touch! The participants meet every Thursday morning from 10:30 to 12:30 in the wellness area of De Hazelaar If you are interested, you can always contact: Elly Robben Volunteer coordinator De Hazelaar & Damast Telephone [phone number hidden] [email address hidden] Or one of the employees of Renoir via [email address hidden]
There is a lady living at the Koningsvoorde location who would really like to have a buddy so she can go outside in her wheelchair on Wednesday afternoon or Friday afternoon...... Or if the weather is reasonable, we can sit outside together on the terrace of to sit in the Brasserie, have a chat, etc. In short, this woman needs company and some personal attention. The lady is very deaf, so talking to each other for a long time is too tiring for her and perhaps for you too!, but just being together for a while, apart from her husband, would do them both good! SO if you have an hour or two hours every week, you could be a welcome addition to this resident's life! Interest; please contact Anke, free. coordinator.
At our Joannes Zwijsen location there is an exercise activity for the elderly every other week on Tuesday afternoon from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The Welfare employee supervises this activity and you would have a supporting role; picking up and dropping off residents, enthusing and supporting them during the activity. At our Koningsvoorde location, on Monday mornings from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, an enthusiastic group of residents are busy with needlework, crocheting, embroidery, Diamont painting, drinking coffee and chatting; In short, a varied club full of fun! For this group we are looking for a volunteer who would like to do this, independently with another volunteer, and who can supervise? You really don't have to be a star in 'crafts', it is much more important that attention is paid to the residents in what he or she wants to do!. Furthermore, it would be nice if you could pick up 1 or 2 residents and take them to their apartment, serve them coffee and create a pleasant atmosphere. If you are interested in this......please register with the volunteer coordinator Anke
