THE BEATING HEART OF VOLUNTARY COMMITMENT
Connect - Stimulate - Appreciate - Support
It has been proven: helping makes you happy! At VrijwilligersTilburg we have known this for a long time. As an expert in the field of volunteer work in the municipality of Tilburg, we are ready to support organizations and (Til) citizens and help them with all kinds of questions about volunteer work. Our dream? A municipality in which it is self-evident to do something for someone else or for your neighborhood.
Fortunately, there are already many volunteers active in our municipality, an estimated 37,000. They help out at school, at their children's sports clubs or help their neighbors with the groceries. Yet we see that the number of people who volunteer has decreased in recent years. While they are desperately needed to get many great initiatives off the ground and to continue activities, for example in the community center or in healthcare.
At VrijwilligersTilburg we are convinced that there are many more people in our community who want to do volunteer work, but do not always know where to start or where to go. We invite all these people to visit one of our Volunteer Points or to contact us by telephone . We are happy to help you!
We also provide support to associations, foundations and citizen initiatives. Whether it concerns recruiting volunteers, volunteer policy, conflicts, financial issues or new legislation and regulations, you have come to the right place. In addition, we regularly organizeinspiring sessions, training and workshops to help your organization further and to put you in touch with other social organizations.
Do you want to know more? Please feel free to take a look at our website and discover how you too can contribute to others or your neighborhood, and how we can support your organization.
VrijwilligersTilburg - the beating heart of voluntary efforts in the municipality of Tilburg, where everyone is welcome to contribute to a better society. Because doing something for someone else is quite normal, isn't it?!
How we make our dream come true
To make our dream come true, we focus on the following four pillars: connecting, encouraging, appreciating and supporting.
To connect
Connection is key; we bring people together with organizations and social initiatives, to strengthen each other and make an even greater impact on others or their neighborhood.
Our platform brings together supply and demand for volunteer work. We also organize volunteer markets, where people and organizations meet physically and get to know each other better.
Stimulate
We encourage volunteer work by showing how accessible it is to do something for someone else and what benefits volunteering brings you.
You can go to our Volunteer Points in the neighborhoods to have a conversation and we regularly share inspiring stories of volunteers in action via our social media channels.
Appreciate
Volunteers are invaluable to our society! That is why we appreciate those who are always there for others or their neighborhood.
The annual Volunteer Awards and various workshops and training courses for volunteers are examples of how we do this.
To support
We support associations, foundations and citizen initiatives. Whether it concerns conflicts, financial issues or new laws and regulations, we are here to help you!
We also regularly organize inspiring sessions, training and workshops that will help your organization on its way.
Our positioning
Together with the municipality of Tilburg, we attach great importance to voluntary efforts. We are committed to increasing that commitment and support organizations that work with volunteers and (Til) citizens who are looking for volunteer work. We are an independent organization, where everyone is welcome!
We carry our own brand and corporate identity and are facilitated by the welfare foundation ContourdeTwern.
"VrijwilligersTilburg believes in a society where people do something for each other. You do something for others and directly for yourself. Your efforts count twice. Working together makes you happy."
